ISLAMABAD: Danish embassy on Saturday hosted its first ever mega cultural event titled ‘Creative Denmark’ for its partners and network in Pakistan.
The event was attended by a large crowd. The aim of the event was to create a better understanding of Denmark and the Danes, its culture and of Denmark’s many activities in Pakistan.
Denmark’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jesper Moller Sorensen said, “Culture is a bond that makes people understand each other better and if they understand each other better, it is easier to overcome the personal, economic and political barriers. I am convinced that creative activities and culture help promote peace and harmony.”
The Danish ambassador hailed the Pakistani-Danish fusion band “Rocqawali”. Guests of the event were served with food prepared by the Danish chefs.
The ambassador reiterated the need to strengthen trade development programmes between Pakistan and Denmark. “Creative Denmark is also about communicating, sharing and understanding each other’s values and perspectives with respect,” he said.
